DJ Dina Regine Cont..

me the ropes," says Dina, "so I had to rely on my instincts as a musican to
create my own style of mixing." Almost immediately things began happening at
the speed of light for her. Within a year's time she took over the now famous
Monday Night at Heartbrak in Manhattan's West Village, turning an authentic
50s diner by day into a throbbing hotspot after dark. This funky hangout is where
top models, actors and musicans chilled and danced to Dina's spin - a

mesmerizing mix from the 60s to the 80s.

Soon word got around town and the dance-floor was packed wall to wall from
11pm till closing at 4am every Monday for years. One of the first to introduce
hip-hop at it's infancy, and alternative rock mixes to a NYC dance crowd, Dina's
magic is her ability infuse her retro sets with breaking new sounds. It was this
mix that caught the attention of her guitar hero Keith Richards, resulting in her
DJ-ing his suprise 50th birthday party. Between stints at the China Club, Au Bar,

Webster Hall, Limelight, and her friend Amy Sacco's club Lot 61 (where she was
music director for the first year), she became the favorite DJ of the art scene. Her
work for Yvonne Force and Leo Vilareal in Mexico and Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn
in NY led to her spinning at Gregory Crewdson's and Ivy Shapiro's nuptuals ("the
art world's wedding of the year," Vogue magazine called it). Dina also spends her
time contributing her talents to such causes as WWF, Breast Cancer Foundation,
   and the Momentum Project.
